(More customer reviews)Nice and simple pot. Has six hour timer, however, would like to have a longer delay for the day use. Also, when using the timer, it always resets the final temperature to 190 degree. Would be nice if it can "remember" the previous temperature setting. The inner container is coated with floury charcoal, not teflon coating that any other brands offer. It claims to bring out the fine taste of water. To me, at least it looks better than the grey teflon coating. Another feature missing is it does not come with the audible alarm.
Extra spec that I would like to know before ordering:
Power: 700 Watt
Temp setting: 140, 180, 190, 208
No audible alarm for any events.
After all, I am happy with the pot for the price and the build quality. Not sure if I would pay extra $30+ for the fancy features Zojirushi brand offers.

(More customer reviews)My relatives have an equivalent Zojirushi model. The only difference is this one only has a 6 hour delay whereas the Zojirushi has a longer delay setting. It actually seems like the Panasonic insulates and holds the heat in better than the Zojirushi as it doesn't seem to reheat as often. I'm sure it would save a few pennies in power costs if I could delay it a little longer while I'm away at work all day but it isn't worth almost double the price to get that. That's the only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5. I actually like and prefer the nonstick interior and unless you've got hard water, you don't have to clean it as often as they suggest. It's over a month for mine being used every day and it doesn't look any different than when I bought it. I figure I'll clean it with lemon juice every other month.
Note that you don't have to buy the special cleaning solution. Make your own citric acid with a half cup of lemon juice concentrate mixed in with the water and then run it through the cleaning cycle. If you use fresh lemons make sure you get the pulp out.

(More customer reviews)My old Zojirushi water boiler conked out after 8 years of regular use, so I ordered the CD-WBC30. Features have gotten better in 8 years: the LCD display shows the temperature, and I have 4 thermostat settings instead of two. I used to have to choose between 208 degrees (too hot) and 140 degrees (too cold). I can now also select 195 degrees and 175 degrees. The 175 degree setting is just fine for instant coffee and oatmeal. I've used this boiler for two months without problems.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this unit for my wife for Christmas of 2006 (started using in January 2007).As a frequent tea drinker, she loved the convenience of having hot water available on demand.Last week the unit started reboiling when it wasn't supposed to and no longer stays on the "keep warm" function but instead keeps boiling as though we'd just filled it with cooler water.It also dispenses in spurts and gurgles, as though there's air trapped in the line. The reslult is hot water spattering in every direction.Basically, it's a hazard.Thank God we didn't leave it plugged in while we were away.
I recommend this product for anyone who's interested in having it work for 12-15 months before it fails.Those who desire unreliable appliances that could be fire traps might also be interested.

(More customer reviews)I have a 5 year old Insinkerator hot water dispenser.I purchased this brand name replacement filter.Only when it arrived it wouldn't fit.The top has a very small hole to join the tubing (1-2 mm), but the fixture you attach the filter to has one that is close to 1cm.I called insinkerator and they said it was just a plug and to pull it out.I tried and it tore out in pieces.I had to use a round file to make the opening large enough and smooth enough to allow it to fit. Clearly it was not a plug.The box came with 2 filters the other one was the same way so I drilled it out.Obviously they have changed the way these filters fit their fixtures and their support personal are clueless.The same thing happened when I had to replace the tank itself after 3 years.They didn't make the same tank so I had to replumb the sink in order for it to fit.Needless to say I wouldn't have another Insinkerator product.Something this simple shouldn't be such a pain in the ass.I would give it no stars but the system wouldn't let me.

My mother had one of these 20 years ago until it gave out a few years back. I purchased this item for my husband for Christmas. He couldn't wait to open it and so we've been using it for the past couple of weeks. I wish I'd bought it sooner. My husband was given a Cuisinart stainless steel Grind & Brew several years ago. Fabulous machine.However, a couple of years ago my husband found that despite his being the only coffee drinker (at the time) in the house, that it was 100% MY responsibility to keep the machine clean and ready for morning brewing.I got tired of this and last year he "discovered" the pleasure of Nescafe Classico instant coffee.
Lazy to boil water in the pot, he'd microwave his cups of water, never bothering to boil me a cup.I've been searching for months for a nice airpot and found this.Unfortunately, I didn't go online in my search and bought one at my favorite Chinese supermarket in Dallas.I paid over $75 when I could have found one online for close to $30 less.However, I have to say that I'm 100% satisfied with this product.It's incredibly convenient. Great for coffee, tea, hot chocolate & malt drinks, not to mention ramen noodles & other instant food items or frozen veggies that require de-frosting.Why didn't I get this sooner?????So easy to use.The only wish I had is that it came in a larger capacity.I love it so much that I use it all the time and have to keep filling it up!
Well worth the money paid. Extremely convenient. Easy to use. Looks great.
